Springer, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, Vol. 4023
This workshop continues the tradition of previous
RECOMB Satellite Meetings, which are focused workshops on
topics of particular interest
to computational biology community. The inaugural meeting of
the
RECOMB Satellite Workshop on Systems Biology will be held in
conjunction with the 2nd RECOMB Satellite Workshop
on Regulatory
Genomics. This
year's workshops will also include a special session on Developmental
Biology.
Most of the talks will be available for viewing worldwide via a live webcast from the conference at Calit2 in San Diego, California.
During conference hours, the live webcast can be viewed at: http://rpvss.ucsd.edu:8080/ramgen/encoder/archive/RECOMB.rm [RealPlayer or RealOne Player required; to download a free version of the player, go to www.real.com].
Note: Some of the workshop sessions will NOT be available for viewing
at the request of the speaker. During those talks, the webcast URL will
not be working. Please check back for the next webcast session. Soon
after the RECOMB meetings end, most of the individual presentations
will be available for on-demand viewing from the Calit2 Multimedia archives. Webcasting is courtesy of Calit2.
The
joint program features an
exciting group of invited speakers, presentations of accepted
abstracts, and opporunities for discussion. Topics include:
- Inference
of gene regulatory and protein signaling networks for
understanding cellular responses and developmental programs
- Model prediction of drug mechanism of action and toxicity
- Pathway mapping and evolution in protein interaction
networks
- Multi-scale methods which bridge abstract and detailed
models
- Systematic design of genome-scale experiments
- Modeling and recognition of regulatory elements,
- Identification and modeling of cis-regulatory regions
- Modeling the structure and function of the regulatory
region
- comparative genomics of regulation.
