From Airport to UCSD:

Hotel Shuttle
Shuttle service will be provided daily to and from Atkinson Hall and La Jolla Shores Hotel (see program).
*Local participants with vehicles will be responsible for their own parking at the Tuesday reception and banquet at the La Jolla Shores Hotel.
Car rental
Enterprise Rent-A-Car has partnered with UCSD Metagenomics to offer low discounted rates. You may pick up the car at the San Diego airport or at our La Jolla locations servicing UCSD. You can book online [Link] or by calling 858-452-5229 and mentioning UCSD Metagenomics 2008 as your group.
Parking
A permit is always required if you wish to park on the UCSD campus during the week and may be purchased for $7 a day at several locations [link].
Conference participants are encouraged to park in Lot P705 with a one day permit [link]. If you plan to park in a different lot, use your one day permit to park in the green or yellow spaces only [link].
A regularly scheduled campus shuttle [link] will be available to pick up and drop off attendees from Lot P704 to the Price Center between 6:30 am and midnight every 15 minutes [link]. Follow the signage from the Price Center to Atkinson Hall, where the conference will be held. More information, maps, and directions can be accessed at or through the UCSD parking website [link].
Map
From I-5, Exit La Jolla Village Drive.
Head west on La Jolla Village Drive.
Turn right at the first light past the freeway on Villa La Jolla Drive.
Turn right at the second light on Gilman Drive.
Turn left at the stop sign onto Voigt Drive
At the intersection past Canyonview Pool.
turn right (still on Voigt Drive).
Continue on Voigt Drive and Atkinson Hall will be the building on the
left before Engineers Lane.

Metagenomics 2008 invites scientists from every part of the world to participate. Please allow ample time for visa processing, as the application process can take several months in some countries.
